Camp Overview

Our Spring Hockey Camp, hosted by the respected Sherbatov Academy, is perfect for young hockey fans eager to take their game to the next level. We accommodate various skill levels with specialized training groups, ensuring that each child receives the support and instruction they need to grow.

Camp Groups

  • Group 1: Pre-Novice to Bantam C — Ideal for younger, less experienced players.

  • Group 2: Novice D1 to Bantam B — Designed for those ready to establish foundational skills and improve their game.

  • Group 3: Atom BB to Bantam A, BB — Tailored for intermediate players looking to enhance their techniques and strategies.

  • Group 4: Peewee AA to Junior D1 — Focused on advanced players aiming to refine their skills and overall performance.

Each group will receive focused skill-building sessions, encouraging teamwork and friendships among participants.

Schedule

The camp runs from March 3 through March 7, providing a fantastic five-day experience filled with meaningful activities.

Daily Schedule Highlights

  • Powerskating: A vital skill for improving speed and agility, led by our expert coaches, Anna and Eliezer Sherbatov.

  • Stickhandling: Players will practice puck control with various drills aimed at improving their handling skills.

For example, on March 3, Group 1 will participate in Powerskating from 9:15 AM to 10:15 AM, followed by stickhandling from 10:15 AM to 11:15 AM at Arena Boisbriand. This structured timetabling allows parents to organize their children’s participation effectively, ensuring they benefit from this immersive camp experience.

Requirements

To facilitate an enjoyable and secure camp experience, parents should keep the following requirements in mind:

  • Eligibility: Open to all children from Pre-Novice to Junior levels.

  • Skill Level: While we cater to a varying skill set, it's best for your child to already have a basic understanding of hockey fundamentals to make the most of the training.

These criteria help maintain a productive environment for all young athletes.

Equipment Needed

Having the right equipment is key to a productive and safe experience at camp. Here is a list of mandatory hockey items to prepare your child effectively:

  • Hockey Helmet with Full Face Protection: Provides protection for the head and face.

  • Shoulder Pads and Elbow Pads: Crucial for upper body protection during games and training.

  • Hockey Gloves: Safeguard hands while offering flexibility for handling the puck.

  • Hockey Skates: Properly fitted skates are essential for comfort and stability.

  • Stick: Players must bring their own stick that suits them in size and preference.

  • Shin Guards and Socks: Important for protection of the lower body.

Safety must come first! Please check that your child’s gear is in good shape before camp starts.
